Samsumg rolling out WiMax in western Michigan

Infoworld reportsthat Samsung, in cooperation with Muskegon, Michigan based Arialink, is rolling out large-footprint WiMax Internetaccess network in . WiMax is a metro-area wireless radio access technology with applications in broadband Internet access. Though the valueof the deal wasn't disclosed, one must wonder why Muskegon was chosen over Detroit, Ann Arbor, or Grand Rapids, whichare all larger and arguably have a more immediate need. Perhaps the Muskegon county planners are trying to create anenvironment for tech-concerned businesses to flourish. More news as I discover it.
